Grant Duke Named Zippo President and CEO

Zippo has recently announced the appointment of Grant B. Duke as President and Chief Executive Officer, following a recent approval by the Board of Directors.

Grant said, “I’m proud and honored to take on this important role, and eager to work with our talented teams to continue growing our brands and supporting our community. And we’ll do it all while staying true my great-grandfather’s inspiring philosophy: ‘Build your product with integrity, stand behind it 100%, and success will follow.’”

As a co-owner of Zippo and a leader in the local Bradford community, Grant follows in the footsteps of three previous generations of ownership that have driven the company’s long-running success: his father and current Board Chairman, George Duke; his grandmother, Sarah B. Dorn; and his great-grandfather and company founder, George G. Blaisdell.

Over the past decade, Grant has been actively involved in Zippo’s U.S. and international business operations. He joined Zippo’s Board of Directors in 2016 before moving into a Business Intelligence role in 2019. In 2020, Grant was named co-owner alongside his father.

Chairman George Duke said “I am proud to announce Grant as our President and CEO. He has gained valuable insight into our people, our customers and the strengths that set us apart. With his curiosity and passion for growth, he is the right person to guide the company forward. Zippo’s future is bright, and I look forward to supporting him as he leads us into our next era of success.”

Grant is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.

Grant resides with his family in Bradford and is an active member of the Boards of Directors for Zippo as well as The Pennhills Club. Grant also actively contributes to many other local civic and service organizations.
