This position is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the assigned production departments and employees.
Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or related industry as well as excellent organizational, communication and technical skills. The candidate should also have the ability to safely and effectively direct manufacturing and support personnel. Must be able to ensure a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing employees on compliance with established policies and procedures, as well as maintaining required quality levels by adhering to organizational standards.
The ability to meet production plans by scheduling, assigning and monitoring personnel, adjusting schedules when required, motivating, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees as necessary in compliance with company policies and procedures is a must.
Effective communication with other Manufacturing Supervisors and personnel is required to ensure an effective transition between shifts and other departments, thereby providing feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement opportunities as needed. A proven problem solver who is proactive and self-directed is desired. Ability to coordinate, plan, and execute the daily activities of multiple manufacturing departments.
This position assists the Quality Manager with product inspection, shipping and release and the development of testing of products.
Primary responsibilities include maintaining gage calibration program and performing product and process quality audits. Collect and evaluate data and present reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards and recommend modifications to achieve optimum quality.
Equally important as the quality aspects of this position is the ability to work with others. The successful candidate must have experience using basic measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, and gage blocks. In addition the individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with and provide technical support.
Requirements include a minimum of 2 years’ experience with product development/quality, as well as excellent organizational and computer skills. Knowledge of company products and AX operating system experience a plus.
