Today caseknives.com is releasing its brand new Case Crossroads (XR) pattern, one with deep Texas roots. The knife was concepted and co-designed with Bill Ruple, a widely respected custom knife maker who operates out of his workshop in Pleasanton, Texas.
Today's caseknives.com launch also signals the knife's availability at participating Case authorized dealers across the country.
The Texas Trapper is built according to Ruple's high standards; each piece cut to a precise measurement, finished and assembled by hand and finally locked down together with torx screws to give the knife a strong build you can depend on.
Bill Ruple says, "The Trapper is the pattern that has dominated many of my custom knife designs. Whether single-bladed or double-bladed, everybody in Texas wears a Trapper on their belt. My version of the Texas Trapper has evolved over the years, and I'm just tickled with what Case and I have done with it." Case dedicated the pattern's First Production Run to its co-collaborator, which proudly bears Ruple's signature on the blade.

Our first XR Texas Trappers feature a hefty 4-1/2" Richlite® handle, a 3-1/2" 35VN Clip point blade, and a lanyard hole for more carrying options. The knife's 3-1/2" long S35VN Clip blade sweeps up to meet the tip, making extra long cuts a breeze, while the pointy tip can easily punch a hole through a strap of new leather.
The dark black G-10 bolster/liners and arrowhead-shaped shield are upgrades that not only make this special knife extra durable, they also add an extra touch of class to this inspired tool.
