October 6, 2017, Bradford, Pa. – W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. has announced that it has become the exclusive sales distributor of Georgia-based metal shop, Southern Grind. Case authorized dealer locations across the U.S. will begin carrying the full line of Southern Grind knives. A comprehensive dealer locator is available to help consumers more easily locate retailers that have committed to carrying the Southern Grind brand.
In June, Case first revealed details of the strategic alliance with Southern Grind, the knife company that was founded in 2010 by GRAMMY award-winning artist Zac Brown. As part of that alliance announcement, Case and Southern Grind introduced their first officially licensed product – the Zac Brown Band “My Old Man” Case Trapper Gift Set, which features an amber washed, smooth bone Trapper in a specially-themed gift package.
Case says the exclusive sales distribution agreement with Southern Grind is a natural extension of its own product offerings.
John Sullivan, Case’s Director of Marketing, added, “Case is excited about the opportunity to represent the Southern Grind knife brand. By leveraging our extensive network of authorized dealers and our top-notch sales force, knife enthusiasts across the country will have greater access to Southern Grind’s line of high quality knives.”
“With Southern Grind, my goal has always been to craft unparalleled knives here in America; knives with a contemporary design that feature high quality materials and an unrivaled attention to detail. I am proud to be aligning with W.R. Case – a legendary brand that I grew up with, that has shared the same commitment to crafting quality American knives for nearly 130 years – to create some really unique offerings for our fans,” said Zac Brown.
A longtime knife enthusiast, Zac Brown established Southern Grind in 2010 to create dependable and functional knives that are made in America. Consistent with Zac’s passion of giving back to the community, Southern Grind also supports the continued development of Camp Southern Ground, an inclusive camp for children with certain neuro-developmental disorders and those with family members serving in the military. Its mission is to provide extraordinary experiences for children to recognize and magnify the unique gifts within themselves and others in order to profoundly impact the world.
