When you pick up one of our new Platts Jig Yellow Bone pocket folders, you step into a world where tradition and innovation collide. Each is built with rugged stainless steel blades, engineered for durability and precision cutting. But it’s the knife's handle that tells a deeper story of time-honored craftsmanship. The jigging style on the yellow bone handle is actually a tribute to the work of Charles Platts, a prominent cutler from Sheffield, England who brought his knifemaking skills to America at the end of the 19th century and later joined his knife company with W.R. Case and Sons Cutlery Company in Bradford, Pennsylvania in 1905.

The RussLock® knife is a pattern that was named after Case founder, J. Russell "Russ" Case. This pattern features a liner lock mechanism, along with a gimped lever for convenient one-hand opening. The Clip blade on this durable folding knife is commonly used as a multi-purpose utility blade and is preferred for detail work.
