Case's New Crossroads Models Showcase at Blade Show West in Salt Lake City

Today Case Knives opens Blade Show West at Booth 122 at the Salt Palace Convention Center to debut the XR Barlow, the newest model in the company's Crossroads Series! The new XR Barlow will be offered for sale starting today on a pre-order basis from participating Case dealers. Additional distribution will follow nationwide starting November.

The XR Barlow is a rugged new interpretation of the popular pattern first introduced to Case customers in the early 1900s, engineered for the contemporary everyday carrier while honoring its classic shape. The XR Barlow features lightweight Richlite® handles paired with a stonewashed, rust-resistant S35VN steel blade for durability, resilience and pro-level performance. A G-10 "long bolster" feature carries the iconic “XX” marking for a timeless Case touch. Precision assembly with torque screws reinforces strength and performance. Together these modern features provide a high functioning tool that's surprisingly light to carry at just 1.3 ounces.

The Case Crossroads concept reimagines classic Case patterns with tougher materials, precision construction and modern details — and brings them together at Case’s only factory in Bradford, Pa. True to the brand’s “Tradition Meets Innovation” promise, these knives blend heritage style with contemporary performance for today’s everyday carrier.

BLADE Show West visitors will also get a closer look at the XR Sod Buster® Jr., an update of the traditional Case ’37 Sod Buster® Jr. with its own set of premium features set. Options include burlap laminate, G-10 or laminated wood handles and liners, along with a stonewashed S35VN stainless steel skinner blade. Torque screw assembly ensures long-term dependability.

“The Crossroads collection is a showcase of the innovation and tradition that makes Case one of the most sought-after knife brands in the world,” said Brent Tyler, Vice President of Global Marketing at Case. “We’re excited to be at Blade Show West sharing details about these new, updated classics with Case enthusiasts in Salt Lake City and across the USA.”

Case will also show its latest fall and holiday offerings at booth 122, including traditional folding pocket knives, modern everyday capable (EDC) models, fixed blade hunting knives and the full 2025 gift line.
