Zippo Manufacturing Company and W.R. Case and Sons Cutlery Company are pleased to announce that the Zippo/Case Museum & Flagship Store has been named the 2024 PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship Champion Awards winner in the Great Places category.

Each year, the PA Wilds Center recognizes individuals, groups, organizations, communities and businesses that have made significant contributions to help grow and sustainably develop the outdoor recreation and nature tourism economy in the PA Wilds by marrying economic development and conservation goals. The Center names Champions in 10 diverse categories, from Conservation Stewardship to Artisan of the Year.

“We’re incredibly honored to be named the Great Places Champion by the PA Wilds Center,” said Brent Tyler, associate vice president of marketing for Zippo and Case. “We welcome tens of thousands of people to the Zippo/Case Museum every year, and this distinction affirms our commitment to offering the PA Wilds region and beyond as a truly remarkable travel destination.”

The Pennsylvania Wilds, one of the state’s 11 official tourism regions, is an area that covers roughly a quarter of the Commonwealth while being home to about 4% of the state’s population. Comprising 12 ½ counties, the region is known for its 2+ million acres of public land — more than Yellowstone National Park – and boasts two National Wild & Scenic Rivers, the largest wild elk herd in the Northeast and a rich natural heritage. Located at 1932 Zippo Dr., Bradford, PA, the Zippo/Case Museum and newly renovated Flagship Store is open seven days a week and admission is free of charge.

The Zippo/Case Museum’s next event will be its annual Made in Bradford 2024 celebration, which takes place on Saturday, July 20. In addition to event-exclusive Zippo and Case collectibles, food vendors and a collectors’ swap tent, the event will spotlight local makers and artisans who contribute to Bradford’s proud legacy of craftsmanship and innovation.
